Locally - Nationally - Globally

Welcome to the Norwich Diocese Mothers’ Union website. Please take a little time to look around – we think of it as a reference book with several pages each full of information about our activities, projects, meetings, and services. Discover ‘Mothers’ Union Local’ groups in your area of Norwich Diocese and find out about our support for families in need. When you have opened all the pages remember to come back another time to see new information – the pages will be updated as soon as we have fresh dates and new project details to add.

In the bible Luke 10vs 29 – 37 teaches us that even though some people are different from us, by their religion, culture, beliefs, nationality, behaviour, etc. they are our neighbours. We are encouraged to be a caring community, and we join alongside four million Mothers’ Union members and supporters around the world encouraging and enabling Family Life in all its varied forms, to flourish – through our actions and our prayers.

What We Do

Membership is open to Christian women and men of all denominations. Some members like to join a branch and have fellowship, whilst others with a busy life style prefer to become a Diocesan member, receiving information on events direct from the office. Either type of membership is valued.

Our Projects

Each year, across the world, Mothers’ Union members work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for those around them. They do this as part of their personal commitment to show their faith in action.

Members Page

Mothers’ Union is a Christian organisation that has been supporting families worldwide for over 140 years. Started by our founder Mary Sumner in 1876 in her local parish, we have grown into an international charity with over 4 million members in 84 countries.
